Two neighbors helped lift a tractor off an Adams area farmer whose ankle was pinned to the ground when the machine tipped over on Thursday. Adams farmer injured by tractor. With his left ankle stuck under the tractor's fender, two neighbors lifted the tractor off Thome and took him to his home, the sheriff said. The tractor hit a rock and tipped, the sheriff said. Deputies arrived, but Thome declined medical attention, saying his wife would take him to get his ankle examined.

4. Boy, father hurt in tractor mishap
Police believe the boy climbed onto the tractor, started it with the transmission engaged and then tried to get off when the tractor began to move. The father ran to help the boy but slipped causing the rear tire to run over both of them, leaving them with critical head and chest injuries. The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon near Durham.
