Food Microbiology publishes primary research papers, short communications, reviews, reports of meetings, book reviews, and news items dealing with all aspects of the microbiology of foods. The editors aim to publish manuscripts of the highest quality which are both relevant and applicable to the broad field covered by the journal. Although all manuscripts will be considered, authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts dealing with the novel methods of detecting microorganisms in foods, especially pathogens of emerging importance, for example, Listeria and Aeromonas.
