The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) is a non-profit scientific professional society focusing on the science of meat safety, production and processing.

Founded in 1939, the Institute of Food Technologists is a nonprofit scientific society with 22,000 members working in food science, food technology, and related professions in industry, academia and government. IFT publishes various resources for the food industry, including Food Technology and the Journal of Food Science . IFT also conducts the world's largest annual convention on food grown, processed, manufactured, distributed and eaten worldwide, the IFT FOOD EXPO.

The Life Sciences Research Office (LSRO) serves National Policy Makers and Research Sponsors with studies, workshops, and symposia that provide objective evaluations of available evidence in the areas of nutrition, food, safety, health and the environment.

Its award-winning newsletter, Nutrition Action Healthletter, is the largest-circulation health newsletter in North America, providing reliable information on nutrition and health.

The FQH association encourages, co-ordinates and disseminates research in the field of organic food and health. Offically registered as an international research association in January 2003 in the Netherlands, the FQH Association was founded by 4 European Research Institutes with the support of stakeholders from the Organic Food Trade and Industry.

SIFST was founded in 1977 as a non-profit scientific society with members working in food science, food technology and related professions in industry, academia and government. The Institute's mission is the furtherance of food science and technology through learning and interaction and collaboration between professionals in Singapore and worldwide.

Food Knowledge & Know-how (FKK) is a non-profit making organisation, established in June 1999. Supported by Defra, FKK's remit is to enable small and medium sized food companies to access the best available technology. FKK offers a single point of contact for businesses requiring consultancy services, technical support and training in all areas of food and drink production.
