Em 29 de Setembro de 1989 um grupo de agricultores sensibilizados para o risco de extincao que ameacava a raca mirandesa cria a Associacao de Criadores de Bovinos de Raca Mirandesa (ACBRM). Actualmente, a Associacao presta servico a cerca de 1500 criadores dos quais 1016 sao socios.

South Devons had established themselves as a breed by 1800, although The South Devon Herd Book Society of England was not formed until 1891. First introduced to NZ in 1969 their role in cross breeding for beef herd improvement is now firm established with 56 studs nation-wide supplying bulls for this purpose.

The Society was founded on 18th November 1878 when a public meeting was held at The Kings Head, Horsham to consider the promotion and management of a Sussex Herd Book. Today the Society is managed by a Council, which is elected from the membership.

The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America (TLBAA), headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, was established to serve as the breed registry. Our primary purpose is to register Texas Longhorn cattle. The second purpose of the TLBAA is to offer the highest quality membership services.
