The Ryeland Flock Book Society actively promotes the breed by registering all pedigree stock born in the UK for members. This minority breed of native sheep originated in the Herefordshire downlands and is popular with smallholders and farmers who use Ryeland rams to cross with commercial ewes.

Registry and breed association for Shropshire breed offering The Shropshire Voice, the official publication of the American Shropshire Registry Association. With issues in February, May and October, this periodical gives breeders a direct channel to the happenings within the breed.

MSSBA was founded in 1981. Its mission is to encourage and provide instruction for its members and to promote and support the Suffolk Sheep breed and industry in the United States.

The Association was formed in 1983 because of the increasing interest within the UK both in sheep dairying and its products. Its aims are to promote the production, manufacture, marketing and consumption of quality dairy products derived exclusively from sheep's milk in the UK.

Established in 1891 for the encouragement of the breeding of Dorset Horn Sheep at home and abroad and the maintenance of the purity of the breed. By 1974 there were more Poll Dorsets registered than Dorset Horns and in recognition of this the Association's name was changed in 1981 to the Dorset Horn and Poll Dorset Sheep Breeders' Association.

This organization is a privately-held registry, guided by devoted Jacob breeders who value their sheep and the preservation of the breed over bureaucracy and politics.
