WBCRA is the original independent harness racing organization in Great Britain. We cover the southern half of Wales and the bordering counties of England, extending from the West coast of Wales as far as the English county of Herefordshire, and from Caersws in Mid Wales to Ammanford in South Wales.

Due to an overwhelming outpouring of affection and appreciation for AFFIRMED, Jonabell Farm felt compelled to devote a website to this magnificent Thoroughbred. The 1978 Triple Crown winner, Hall of Fame member, and two-time Horse of the Year spent the last several years of his stud career at Jonabell Farm prior to his death in January, 2001.

Affirmed was champion 2-year-old of 1977, champion 3-year-old and Horse of the Year in 1978, and a repeat Horse of the Year winner in 1979. The chestnut son of Exclusive Native - Won't Tell You, by Crafty Admiral had stood at Jonabell since 1992 and has been represented by 77 stakes winners to date. Trained by Lazaro S. Barrera, Affirmed made his racing debut at Belmont Park on May 24, 1977.

Adrian Maguire was one of jump racing's greatest - and unluckiest - jockeys. Maguire had the rides on some of the top horses and duly obliged with victory in the King George VI Chase at Kempton (Barton Bank) and Cheltenham's Queen Mother Champion Chase (Viking Flagship).

Bold Ruler was foaled at Claiborne Farm on April 6, 1954. He was bred and owned by Wheatley Stable and trained by Jim Fitzsimmons. The star of the Phipps' family, Bold Ruler won his first five races as a two year old, including the Youthful and Juvenile Stakes. As a three year old, Bold Ruler was named "Horse of the Year", winning 11 of 16 races, and earning $415,160. His only unplaced effort was a fourth-place finish in the Kentucky Derby.

Born in 1979, Cam Fellas life started in the heart of Blue Grass Country at The Walnut Hall Stud Farm. Sired by Most Happy Fella and out of the mare Nan-Cam by Bret Hanover. The 15.1 bay colt was noticed after the 1981 racing season by trainer Pat Crowe when scouting for a horse for Norm Faulkner and Norm Clements of Ontario Canada.

The Hambletonian Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1925 to sponsor the race for which it was named, the Hambletonian® Stake. The Society encourages and supports the breeding of Standardbred horses through the development, administration and promotion of harness racing stakes, early-closing races and other special events.

The WPCA is an association of professional cowboys and business people with an interest in preserving our western heritage and providing exciting family entertainment. The WPCA promotes and presents chuckwagon racing as a professional sport throughout North America and the world.
