Here at Angelwings we rescue ponies from the auction where they are sold to meat buyers and shipped out of California to the slaughter house. We take donations and buy ponies from the auction as funds permit.

The Miniature Pony Rescue Centre is being established to provide a loving home and a place of safety for unfortunate animals. As stated in the Charity's constitution, our aims are: the relief of suffering of miniature ponies and miniature horses, who by reason of cruelty, ill treatment or sickness, are in need of care and attention.

SWHP is run almost entirely by volunteers. We will care for abused or injured horses and ponies, rehabilitating them and re-homing them in a safe, caring environment. No horse or pony taken in by SWHP will ever be sold. We will rehome each horse or pony on a loan basis and monitor their progress through yearly visits.
