We are a registered non-profit, charitable organization that cares for horses that have been entrusted to us and, when ready, to adopt them out to appropriate homes. All horse care and organizational matters are provided by volunteers. We are located in the Bradner area, Abbotsford, British Columbia, 70 km. east of Vancouver.

  OSAS - Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society
OSAS is an approved charitable organization, founded in 1996 to assist in the adoption and relocation of retired and non-racing Standardbred horses within Ontario. OSAS is operated by its own Board of Directors, and is funded in part by the Ontario Harness Horse Association, by other horse industry organizations and by private donations.

  Donkey Sanctuary of Canada
Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and protection of abandoned, neglected or abused donkeys, mules and hinnies, the Sanctuary provides these animals a lifelong home. Through a quarterly newsletter, school, and youth group visits on site, DSC staff and volunteers teach children about responsible animal guardianship and care.

  Prince Edward Island Equine Retirement Society
The P.E.I. Equine Retirement Society is dedicated to providing an alternative for horse owners who are faced with the dilemma of what to do with a horse who can no longer compete in its given discipline. Many of these horses while unable to compete due to age, injury, or lack of athletic ability, can still lead a long productive life in a less strenuous capacity.

Guelph Equine Area Rescue Stables (G.E.A.R.S) is an organisation catering for the rescue and rehabilitaion of any and all horses. Our main goals are to give horses that have been mistreated or slaughterbound a second chance at life. This could (and almost always does) include rescue, rehabilitation, treatment and love.

A non profit, non political, charitable organization. The Mitchell Centre for Equine Rescue and Education was established to save young, healthy, reusable horses from going to slaughter. We also educate the public on the inner works of the horse industry as a whole.

  Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue
Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue is located in Ontario, Canada. This Equine Rescue was started by Claire Malcolm in 1997 to help save horses and ponies from slaughter, and take in any unwanted horse or pony and find them a new, loving home. HCW has placed 400+ equines into new families in the past 7 years.
