The Sunshine State Horse Council has set up a web site that contains emergency preparation information, emergency resources, and a database of relocation sites - places that will provide space for horses displaced by fire or hurricane, on a temporary basis until the emergency subsides.

  The Sylvester Foundation

  United States Equine Rescue League (USERL)
A 501(c)3 tax-exempt charity. USERL acquires horses from a variety of sources. In the beginning, the League accepted donations of equines. Now, having established a respectable reputation within the equine community, USERL shelters equines that have been seized by law enforcement authorities and those surrendered by neglectful and/or abusive owners.

  Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue
Approved Non-Profit 501 C 3. The purpose of Roanoke Valley Horse Rescue, Inc. is to promote the prevention of equine abuse. RVHR shall provide shelter, food, daily care, medical treatment, rehabilitation, adoption and foster services for horses in need because they have been abandoned, neglected and/or are in need of a new home.
