The International League for the Protection of Horses was founded in 1927 by Miss Ada Cole, the main aim being to prevent the ill-treatment of horses exported to Europe for slaughter. At home - in the United Kingdom the ILPH runs four Recovery and Rehabilitation Centres with around three hundred equines undergoing rehabilitation at any one time.

A Christian, family owned and operated ranch dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and training of unwanted and abused ponies. Here at Angelwings we rescue ponies from the auction where they are sold to meat buyers and shipped out of California to the slaughter house. We take donations and buy ponies from the auction as funds permit.
