Raising Morgans since 1975 we breed for temperment, type and gait. Our Morgans are considered to be "Old Type" Morgans. Around 14.3 H -15.1, 1000# on average. Since 1978, we have raised Morgan horses. In addition to a small band of well-bred broodmares, we are standing a talented and beautiful black stallion, Hi Sage Panache. We handle our foals from birth. We strive to breed horses that will bring great pleasure and joy to their owners whether it be in the show ring or on the trail.

Our Morgan horses are bred for quality and versatility. We concentrate on breeding for the traditional old-style Morgan. We breed one mare every year depending on availability of stalls. They are of Government and Brunk breeding and some Lippitt. They are trained for western pleasure, hunt seat and pleasure driving and are bred to be family horses.

MelRich is a twenty-acre property located just outside of Louisville, KY. Farm's focus is breeding, with some emphasis on showing for marketing purposes and fun. Our plan is to concentrate on the Brunk/Old Government cross which we feel produces the ideal, multi-purpose Morgan Horse. We especially like the Beamington, Flyhawk and Upwey Ben Don bloodlines.
