Dedicated to educating horse owners, legislating the humane treatment of horses and finding homes for all abused or neglected equines. The Lost & Found Horse Rescue Foundation (L&FHRF) has successfully placed more than 500 horses, averaging 100 per year since 1997. We handle several horse breeds along with ponies, donkeys and mules for possible adoption.

Donkey Shelter Inc. was founded by Dr. May Dodd to help orphaned, abandoned, suffering and mistreated donkeys. Donkey Shelter also promotes and demonstrates the special nature and attraction of donkeys as pets, through our involvement in public activities at churches, schools, fairs and parades.

At Horsefriends, we work to rescue and rehabilitate large animals, including horses, donkeys and mules. We focus our efforts on animals that are suffering from neglect, abuse or malnutrition. In addition, we care for both the physical and emotional needs of the animals in the hope that they can be placed in new homes.

We are a non-profit, all volunteer Colorado foundation dedicated to providing shelter, care, medical care, and options to domestic and wild horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, burros and other livestock. Mountain States Horse Rescue and Rehab will never turn a horse in need away.
