Brooke Hospital for Animals relieves the suffering of horses, donkeys and mules working for poor people in the developing world. Our dedicated local vets and their teams provide free care, education and training in the heart of the communities we serve in Egypt, India, Jordan and Pakistan.

ERL is a non-profit organization that supports the responsible use of working, sport, and pleasure horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Our goals are to prevent the neglect or abuse of any equine, to offer educational programs to the community, and to provide shelter, rehabilitation and adoption for those animals in need of our services.

The Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary is a registered charity, caring for abused and ill-treated animals. We rely totally upon public donations to enable us to do this valuable work. Adopting one of the donkeys is a popular way to support the ongoing care of the animals, and can make an unusual gift.

The New European Distressed Donkey Initiative is a non-profit making company, limited by guarantee. Established in 1990 it offers care and safety to donkeys (and to a lesser degree, ponies) within Britain and Europe at risk from neglect, cruelty or mal-treatment.

Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and protection of abandoned, neglected or abused donkeys, mules and hinnies, the Sanctuary provides these animals a lifelong home. Through a quarterly newsletter, school, and youth group visits on site, DSC staff and volunteers teach children about responsible animal guardianship and care.

Today there are more than 100 donkeys in the care of the Cyprus Donkey Sanctuary at Vouni village in the Limassol district. They are large, small, young, old, gray, white or brown... but they all have one thing in common, they are no longer wanted. Our donkeys are collected or brought to us from villages all over Cyprus.

Last Chance Ranch is a non-profit (501(c)3), all volunteer Equine Rescue. "LCR" rescues the old, the young, the injured, neglected, malnourished, abused, and forgotten. We accept all breeds: horses, ponies, drafts, donkeys, and mules. Located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA.

The Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue is a 501(c)(3) IRS recognized charitable organization. All donkeys at our rescue have been micro-chipped using the AVID System. We are located in Acton, California, United States.

Set amongst the rolling Chiltern Hills The Home of Rest for Horses caters for the retirement needs of 125 horses, donkeys and ponies. The Home was originally established back in the 1880s to help the working London horses. Since those times The Home has developed and is now firmly established at its purpose-built stables near to High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
