SCCRA was formed in 1975 when a group of local racers wanted to run chariots at home instead of having to travel to Jerome, where the closest association was located. The U.S. Trotting Association governs the sport of harness racing for the entire United States. For administrative purposes, the membership is divided into 11 districts covering the United States. Established in 1873, the OVH is recognized by the Masters of Foxhounds Association of America as one of the oldest foxhunting organizations on this Continent. Since 1930 the OVH has been chiefly a Drag Hunt and operates within the regulations set out by the MFHA.

The Hunting party Gut Pollen has been founded in Summer of 1996 in Essen-Velbert (Dusseldorf), Northrhein-Westfalia. First intention was to spread out the idea of horse show.
