Ecological Economics and Sustainable Development Laboratory Eco.Su.D Laboratory was created in 2004 by the Economics Department of the University of Crete and its mission is to conduct research in the interface of Ecological and Development Economics and produce internationally recognized research output in these areas.
• Energy, Transport & Environment (ETE)
ETE is a part of the Centrum voor Economische Studien (C.E.S.) which is the research division of the Department of Economics of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (K.U.Leuven). The working group formally consists of three subdivisions: Energy, Transport and Environment. The general aim of ETE is to apply state of the art economic theory to current policy issues at the national and European level. An important asset of ETE is its extensive portfolio of numerical partial and general equilibrium models for the assessment of transport, energy and environmental policies.

• Land Tenure Center
The Land Tenure Center serves as a global resource institution on issues relating to land ownership, land rights, land access, and land use. Our focus is on the relationship of land to economic development, socio-political organization, and environmental sustainability. LTC's approach to research and training is multi-disciplinary and stresses local collaboration. Established in 1962 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
• National Center for Environmental Economics (NCCE)
NCEE analyzes relationships between the economy, environmental health, and environmental pollution control. This includes: economic benefits and costs; economic incentives; size, composition, and effects of the pollution control industry; risk assessment data used in economic analyses. NCEE also serves as a central point of contact for communicating and resolving cross-cutting technical economic issues.

Main Street Economics is a small business offering professional and technical services in the emerging market for environmental economics applications. We provide these services to government agencies, private business and non-governmental organizations. Our core capability is in the application of economic analysis to environmental and natural resources management and markets. This capability includes: enumerating and analyzing socio-economic surveys, undertaking welfare-based policy analysis, measures of market and non-market costs and benefits, and other environmental and natural resource analysis.

• Tempus-Project Caucasus
This project is a joint effort of three renown Western European universities and three agricultural universities in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia with focus on the development of environmental study programmes in the South Caucasus Region. In 2003, the project consortium was awarded with a grant by the European Commission for implementing a two-year project in the frames of the EU Tempus program.
