The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is a nonprofit, worldwide professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in the study, analysis, and solution of environmental problems; the management and regulation of natural resources; environmental education; and research and development.

  The Australasian Society for Ecotoxicology
The society aims to advance the science of ecotoxicology as it relates to environmental protection and management. Ecotoxicology is a multidisciplinary field of study that deals with the environmental effects of natural and synthetic chemicals in the biosphere. The field of ecotoxicology includes concepts arising from disciplines such as toxicology, biology, analytical, environmental and organic chemistry, physiology, ecology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, soil, water and air sciences, and economics.
