  Canopy Construction Associates
CCA has been building canopy access systems since 1990 with our first project in the Amazonian rain forest of northern Peru. Canopy Construction Associates is staffed by scientists and construction experts who have both the ability and experience to work high above the ground in remote (and not so remote) locations. CCA provides canopy access and consultation with regard to the appropriate site location, selection of access options, and costs.

Formal Ontologies, Specifications and Logics in Canopy Research
A number of description techniques are outlined and their usefulness in describing the domain of canopy research and associated data models is indicated. The approaches considered are: formal ontologies, object-oriented formal specifications, domain-specific logics and domain languages. We consider a simple abstraction of tree architecture to illustrate some of the concepts, especially those of formal specifications.

  TUES Institute of Ecology: Photos
Canopy access towers at Jarvselja deciduous forest in Southeastern Estonia (58° 22' N, 27° 20' E). Dominant species are Populus tremula and Tilia cordata. Plant ecophysiology and landscape ecology are two principal research fields at the department.

  Boreal Forest Network
Learn about the boreal (taiga) forest ecosystem, and how unsustainable forest management and wasteful consumption threaten biodiversity in these forests of coniferous and deciduous trees.

  Florida 4-H Forest Ecology
The Florida 4-H Forest Ecology Website. Here you can identify and learn more about the dominant trees and companion plants in eight different forest ecosystems in Florida. Information about forest wildlife, forest insects, and forest diseases is also included. This site is brought to you by the School of Forest Resources and Conservation at the University of Florida.

  Australian Canopy Crane Research Facility
Managed by the Rainforest CRC, the Australian Canopy Crane spans over one hectare of lowland tropical rainforest in one of the most ecologically diverse areas of the Wet Tropics of north Queensland. This unique research facility is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Amenities include comfortable air-conditioned on-site accommodation and a laboratory located only two hundred metres from the crane.

  Canopy Crane Bird Point Counts
Biologists research use of the forest canopy by bird species using University of Washington's Canopy Crane.
