Established as a society in August 1999, and then as a Registered Charity in December 2001, the Grasslands Conservation Council of British Columbia (GCC) is a strategic alliance of organizations and individuals, including government, range management specialists, ranchers, agrologists, grasslands ecologists, First Nations, environmental groups, recreationists and grassland enthusiasts. • Bolsa Chica Land Trust
The mission of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is to acquire, restore and preserve the entire 1700 acres of the mesa, lowlands and wetlands of the Bolsa Chica. The Land Trust conducts educational programs to build awareness about the role of the Bolsa Chica wetlands system in the natural and urban environment, and tell the story of its rich history. The Land Trust's Bolsa Chica Stewards have been working since 1996 on the mesa re-vegetation project.

The Life Peatlands Project 2001-2005 - Restoring Active Blanket Bog of European Importance in North Scotland. The Project is a partnership of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), Forest Enterprise, Scottish Natural Heritage, Plantlife Scotland and the Forestry Commission with 60% co-funding from the European Union's LIFE Nature Programme.
