MCA is an Alaska non-profit organization formed by conservation minded Alaska and North Pacific coastal residents, communities,fixed and mobile gear fishermen, vessel owners and crew, processors, fishing organizations, support industries, western Alaska Community Development Quota (CDQ) organizations, consumers, and others who are directly and indirectly involved in the North Pacific (Alaska) groundfish fisheries.

The Baltic Marine Biologists (BMB) is an international non-governmental scientific organisation whose aim is to promote studies on the biological diversity, structure, function and sustainable management of the ecosystems of the Baltic Sea Area (the Baltic Sea, Belt Seas, Oresund and Kattegat).

• The North American Native Fishes Association
The North American Native Fishes Association, Inc. (NANFA) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation dedicated to the appreciation, study and conservation of the continent's native fishes.
• Florida Association of Benthologists (FAB)
FAB was formed in 1987 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1992 to provide a forum for the exchange of information and to provide training for benthologists and scientists in related disciplines. FAB conducts regular meetings and workshops at which reports and seminars on a variety of environmental, taxonomic, and biological studies are presented. Field excursions, which allow participants to observe and often to collect in a diverse range of freshwater and marine environments are an important component of these meetings.
• South Florida Aquatic Plant Management Society
The goal of the South Florida Aquatic Plant Management Society is to provide a forum for an exchange of ideas, news and information on plants that grow in and around water in South Florida. Anyone with an interest in aquatic plant management, growth of aquatic plants, or restoration of wetlands is invited to join. Although emphasis is placed on aquatic plants, any plant that impacts water in South Florida will be of interest to members of the Society.
• Trout Unlimited
Trout Unlimited's mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America's trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. TU accomplishes this mission on local, state and national levels with an extensive and dedicated volunteer network.
• Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute
The Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute (GCFI) was founded in 1947 to promote the exchange of current information on the use and management of marine resources in the Gulf and Caribbean region. From its beginning, GCFI has endeavored to involve scientific, governmental, and commercial sectors to provide a broad perspective on relevant issues, and to encourage dialogue among groups that often operate in relative isolation from one another.
• Southern California Association Marine Invertebrate Taxonomists
SCAMIT was formed in 1982 with the goal of promoting the study of marine invertebrate taxonomy in southern California and developing a regionally standardized taxonomy. To accomplish this, SCAMIT provides a regular monthly forum to address problems in taxonomy, organizes taxonomic workshops, and maintains a reference collection and library of taxonomic literature. SCAMlT's activities contribute to the scientific value of the many surveys of marine benthic invertebrate communities conducted in southern California by assuring standardized taxonomy and compatibility between various taxonomic data sets.
• American Fisheries Society
The mission of the American Fisheries Society is to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.
