• Research Group of Experimental Zooplankton Ecology
The research group EZECO (Experimental Zooplankton Ecology group) investigates predatory interactions on the higher trophic levels of the Baltic Sea. We concentrate on aspects that have been little studied in the Baltic Sea, such as influence of food quality to secondary production, interactions between zooplankton, cyanobacteria and higher trophic levels, as well as behavioural and life cycle adaptations to predation and unfavourable environmental conditions.
• Coral Magazine
A quarterly video magazine of corals and coral reefs. Includes ecology, descriptions, identification, free photos, filming techniques, and even a short quiz.
• CRC Reef Research Center (Australia)
CRC Reef Research Centre is a knowledge-based partnership of coral reef ecosystem managers, researchers and industry. Its mission is to plan, fund and manage world-leading science for the sustainable use of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. CRC Reef Research Centre provides research solutions to protect, conserve and restore the world's coral reefs by ensuring that industries and management are sustainable and that ecosytem quality is maintained.
• Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary
Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary comprises one of the largest nearshore sandstone reefs in the southeastern United States. Named in recognition of Milton B. Gray, a biological collector and curator at the University of Georgia Marine Institute, who studied the area during the 1960s, it's located 32 kilometers (17.5 nautical miles) off Sapelo Island, Georgia. Sanctuary boundaries protect 17 square miles of open ocean. Sandstone outcroppings and ledges up to ten feet in height separate the sandy, flat-bottomed troughs in a reef that combines temperate and tropical qualities.

• Simulation of Sustainable Fishing
A Sustainable Fishing Simulation Using Mathematical Modeling and Database Access Through the World Wide Web. This paper describes a sustainable fishing simulation system accessible over the World Wide Web (WWW). This is an interdisciplinary project that combines the fields of fishing ecology and computing. It uses a client-server architecture consisting of a mathematical model, a database management system, a WWW server, and WWW browsers. The goal of this simulation is to allow ecology students to learn about issues involved in environmentally sustainable fishing.

The Aquatic Network includes databases, news, articles, employment and business opportunities, publications, images, sounds, videos, products and services, and an online store.
• Action Atlas: Coral Reefs
Threats to the coral reefs of the world, and who's working to save them. The biologists have seen the future, and their message could not be clearer: Living coral reefs are the foundation of marine life, and thus a crucial support for human life, yet all over the world they are dead or dying because people are destroying themÂkilling themÂat a catastrophic rate.
