  Columbia Basin Research
Columbia Basin Research, CBR, is a joint effort of scientific research projects through the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington investigating issues surrounding salmon biology in the Columbia and Snake River basins.

Pacific Salmon Recovery: A Sampling of Viewpoints
Viewpoints about Pacific salmon and steelhead recovery for the Oregon Coast and Columbia River Basin.

  Washington Trout
Washington Trout is a non-profit conservation-ecology organization dedicated to the preservation and recovery of Washington's native fish and the ecosystems they depend on. Washington Trout seeks to improve conditions for all of Washington's wild fish by conducting important research on wild-fish populations and habitats, advocating for better land-use, salmon-harvest, and hatchery management, and developing model habitat-restoration projects.

  Steward and Associates
Steward and Associates is an environmental consulting firm located in historic downtown Snohomish, Washington, just north of Seattle on the beautiful Snohomish River. We are fisheries and aquatic scientists, environmental policy analysts, and sustainability/low impact design specialists.

North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve
The North Carolina National Estuarine Research Reserve is a cooperative program between the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources/Division of Coastal Management and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The Estuarine Reserve is a part of the Coastal Reserve Program of the Division of Coastal Management.

  The Hudson River Estuary Program
The Hudson River Estuary Program is a unique regional partnership designed to protect, conserve, restore, and enhance the estuary. The Hudson's productivity and diversity of natural resources sustain a wide array of present and future human benefits. It is a nursery for valuable food and game fish, a water supply, a boater's playground, a landscape of inspiring beauty, a shipping route, and more.

  Fish Passage Center
The Fish Passage Center (FPC) provides current and historic data on salmon and steelhead passage in the main stem Snake and Columbia river basins. Data from the Smolt Monitoring Program (SMP) is intended to provide the information basis for federal, state and tribal recommendations for fish passage in the Federal Columbia River Hydro-electric System. In addition to real-time access to SMP data, the FPC provides data about river conditions, hatchery releases, smolt migration, gas bubble trauma and adult returns.

  Passive Integrated Transponder Information System
PIT (Passive Integrated Transponder) tags are used to monitor the movement and inferred behavior of juvenile and adult salmon and steelhead trout throughout the Columbia River Basin in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The PIT Tag Information System (PTAGIS) provides a centralized source for real-time PIT tag data accrual, storage, and exchange. This information is typically used by public, academic, and private entities involved in the mitigation and enhancement of the salmon resource. PTAGIS is funded by the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), and administered by the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC).

  Watershed Watch Salmon Society
Information on water use planning, local water issues, salmon conservation, the dangers of salmon farming and other freshwater and marine issues

Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management
The office responsible for administering the Coastal Zone Management Act and a leader on the Nation's coastal, estuarine and ocean management issues. This Web site provides information for coastal resource managers, planners, educators, scientists, and others interested in balancing the conservation and development of our Nation's coastal, estuarine and ocean resources.
