  Directorate General for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs
The mission of the Directorate General for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs is to ensure the delivery of the Commission's political priorities in the areas of fisheries, the Law of the Sea and Maritime Affairs. The Directorate General for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs is responsible for the management, on behalf of the Commission, of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) in order to provide the basis for sustainable fisheries within and beyond Community waters, taking into account environmental, economic and social aspects and applying good governance principles.

  Great Lakes Commission
Since 1955, the Great Lakes Commission has dedicated its efforts toward securing a clean environment, strong economy, and high quality of life for the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region and its citizens. An eight-state compact agency founded in state and federal law, the Commission represents the collective views of the eight Great Lakes states. A newly established Associate Membership program provides for enhanced Canadian provincial involvement and a binational focus.

  Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission
Serving the Treaty Indian Tribes in Western Washington. The NWIFC is headquartered in Olympia, Washington, with satellite offices in Forks, Mount Vernon and Kingston. Four departments comprise the commission: Administration, Fishery Services, Habitat Services and Information and Education Services.

Provides information on the lobster fishery and lobster conservation with pictures, tables, and links to other lobster-related sites. This site now incorporates FisheryConservation.com.

  The Billfish Foundation
The Billfish Foundation is the only non-profit organization dedicated solely to conserving and enhancing billfish populations around the world. Our comprehensive network of members and supporters is made up of anglers, boat captains, tournament directors, clubs and sportfishing businesses. By coordinating efforts and speaking with one voice, we are able to work for solutions that are good for billfish and not punitive to anglers.

  Fisheries Society of the British Isles
The FSBI is the premier Society in the British Isles, and increasingly in Europe, catering for the interests of professional fish biologists and fisheries managers. The Society is a Learned Society and, as such, is not a political interest group. The Society is registered as a United Kingdom charity (Registered Number: 256475) and is affiliated to the UK Institute of Biology and the Society for Science and Technology.

  Australian Fisheries Ecologically Sustainable Development
This website is part of a national initiative to implement ESD within the management of all Australian fisheries and aquaculture resources. It is aimed at assisting fishery managers, the industry, environmental groups and the wider community in understanding: What is ESD?; The ESD issues relating to fisheries; The initiatives are currently underway to develop methods to assess ESD performance in fisheries; The structures that have been put in place, such as the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation's ESD Reporting and Assessment Subprogram, to assist these initiatives; The progress that has been made in moving towards ESD-based fisheries management.

  Alaska Department of Fish & Game: Commercial Fisheries
The mission of the Division of Commercial Fisheries is to manage, protect, rehabilitate, enhance, and develop fisheries and aquatic plant resources in the interest of the economy and general well-being of the state, consistent with the sustained yield principle and subject to allocations established through public regulatory processes. The division is responsible for management of the state's commercial, subsistence, and personal use fisheries; the rehabilitation and enhancement of existing fishery resources; and the development of new fisheries.

  FAO Fisheries Department
FAO's Major Programme on Fisheries aims to promote sustainable development of responsible fisheries and contribute to food security. To implement this Major Programme, the Fisheries Department focuses its activities, through programmes in Fishery Resources, Fishery Policy, Fishery Industries, and Fishery Information.
