  Mangrove Replenishment Initiative

Mangrove replenishment methodology is now being applied in shoreline revegetation programs endorsed by a coalition of environmentally conscious organizations. This new methodology enables successful employment along shorelines with high tidal activity, substantial wave action, and upland run-off.

  Oil Sands Reclamation Research Network
The purpose of the Oil Sands Environmental Research Network is: to promote, facilitate, and integrate environmental research that is linked to the oil sands; to encourage other Canadian universities and other Canadian research institutes with recognized expertise in reclamation issues including hydrology, environmental engineering, geology and soil science, terrestrial and aquatic toxicology, plant biology and environmental sciences; to encourage industry stakeholders from the oil sands industry to enter into arrangements with the University to participate in the activities of the Network, and to fund oil sands research; to facilitate communication, collaboration and exchange of information in relation to Reclamation Research activities between the Network Participants.
