The Center for Applied Biodiversity Science (CABS) at Conservation International, in collaboration with The World Conservation Union (IUCN) recently held a conference to discuss discoveries and recommendations concerning global biodiversity preservation. The conference served as a forum, both for identifying a concrete strategy for salvaging biodiversity in highly threatened areas and to develop a proactive plan for biodiversity conservation. Genetic Futures in food and farming: London seminar in preparation for CBD/COP6. Seminar on agricultural biodiversity and genetic resources issues.

The goal of this platform is to support Spanish research on biological diversity, to promote and facilitate interaction and exchange of information among those involved in conservation programmes (the scientific community, managers, and policy makers), and to promote participation in European workgroups and other international institutions.
