The Coalition is a non-profit network of environmental education centers, conservation and recreation organizations, schools, fish and wildlife agencies, and businesses to support outdoor education.

The IOC's International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE) was established in 1961 to enhance marine research, exploitation and development by facilitating the exchange of oceanographic data and information between participating Member States and by meeting the needs of users for data and information products. The IODE system forms a worldwide service oriented network consisting of DNAs (Designated National Agencies), NODCs (National Oceanographic Data Centres), RNODCs (Responsible National Oceanographic Data Centres) and WDCs (World Data Centres – Oceanography).

Marine Environmental Data Service - Access to Oceanographic Data. The Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) is a branch of Canada's federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO). MEDS' mandate is to manage and archive ocean data collected by DFO, or acquired through national and international programmes conducted in ocean areas adjacent to Canada, and to disseminate data, data products, and services to the marine community in accordance with the policies of the Department.

The TAO Project Office of NOAA/PMEL led a major international effort to instrument the entire tropical Pacific with nearly 70 deep ocean moorings from 1985-1994. Completed in 1994, this Tropical Atmosphere Ocean array has enabled real-time collection of high quality oceanographic and surface meteorological data for monitoring, forecasting, understanding climate swings associated with El Nino La Nina. More recently, the TAO array was renamed TAO/TRITON in recognition a special partnership between PMEL Japan Science Technology Center (JAMSTEC).

The Southern African Data Centre for Oceanography (SADCO) stores, retrieves and manipulates multi-disciplinary marine information from the areas around southern Africa. SADCO has been in existence since the 1960's, and in its present configuration since 1990.

The Centre for Marine Studies co-ordinates research and teaching on the ocean, coast, estuaries and reefs of Queensland for The University.

The American Academy of Environmental Engineers is dedicated to excellence in the practice of environmental engineering to ensure the public health, safety, and welfare to enable humankind to co-exist in harmony with nature.
