  Japan Oceanographic Data Center
Since its establishment JODC has been fulfilling the role of the synthetic marine data bank of Japan in acquisition of marine data obtained by various marine research institutes and organizations concerned in Japan and in providing users with these data. In addition JODC has been carrying out international services as the National Oceanographic Data Center of Japan under the framework of International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange(IODE) promoted by IOC, and also in charge of the Responsible National Oceanographic Data Center (RNODC), which manages the data from international projects such as the IOC Regional Committee for the Western Pacific (WESTPAC) programme and Joint IOC-WMO Working Committee for Integrated Global Ocean System (IGOSS) programme and so on.

  National Ocean Service
As one of five NOAA Line Offices, NOAA's National Ocean Service (NOS) works to observe, understand, and manage our nation's coastal and marine resources. NOS measures and predicts coastal and ocean phenomena, protects large areas of the oceans, works to ensure safe navigation, and provides tools and information to protect and restore coastal and marine resources. In providing these services, NOS works closely with its NOAA partners: the National Weather Service, Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, National Marine Fisheries Service, National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service, and NOAA Marine and Aviation Operations.

SISMER: Systemes d'Informations Scientifiques pour la Mer
SISMER: Systemes d'Informations Scientifiques pour la Mer / Scientific Information Systems for the Sea. SISMER is the Designated National Oceanographic Data Centre for France (French NODC) for the International Oceanographic Data Exchange programme (IODE) of UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, following the former Bureau National des Donnees Oceaniques (BNDO). This national data banking activity dates from 1968, and covers the fields of marine physics, chemical, underway geophysics and general information on French oceanographic cruises and data sets.

  U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center
The National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) is one of three discipline-oriented environmental data centers operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NODC ensures that oceanographic data collected at great cost (by federal, state, local, & foreign government agencies, universities, and private industry) is preserved and maintained in a permanent archive where they are available for use by scientists, resource managers, planners, and others. NODC holds physical, chemical, and biological oceanographic data from coastal and deep ocean areas.
