BGS is a forum for those with an active interest in the science and practice of temperate grassland production and utilization. BGS brings together research workers, farmers, advisors, teachers and technical members of the agricultural industry.

The Forage Legumes Group of the British Grassland Society is dedicated to informing farmers and others about the uses of forage legumes in agricultural production systems.

The Chinese Grassland Society was founded in 1979 in Beijing. Since 1991, it has become a national science society authorized by the State Ministry of Civil Affairs. The basic task of the Chinese Grassland Society is to unite the national grassland scientists and technicians for academic exchanges at home and abroad, and popularize grassland science, and train the qualified personnel for the further development of grassland science, and accelerate the development of the grassland science.
