Our staff consists of 40 faculty members (including joint appointments), 7 academic specialists, 27 post-docs, and 60 administrative and support personnel. We offer two undergraduate majors, two Agricultural Technology Certificate programs, two Masters programs, and three Doctoral programs, enrolling approximately 300 students.

Founded in 1860, the University Faculty of Gembloux is the oldest Belgian institution of teaching and research devoted entirely to agronomy and biological engineering. Activities are organized around four topics: biochemistry and applied biology, plant and animal productions, transformation and valorization of living material, environmental managment.

The Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) program is a membership service of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). Any public, commercial or independent adviser, who counsels farmers, ranchers or other agricultural entities and can meet the rigorous standards of the CCA program is encouraged to participate.

This program is designed to recognize a level of expertise or achievement attained by the crop consultant versus training someone to be a crop consultant. Any public, commercial or independent adviser who councils farmers and can meet the rigorous standards of the program, is encouraged to participate.

Plant Biology Specialization: agronomy, anatomy, cell and molecular biology, ecology, entomology, freshwater and marine biology, genetics, horticulture, mycology and pathology, phycology, physiology, systematics.

Our main goal is to prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in horticulture, agronomy, soils, agricultural systems and mechanization, or agricultural education. The department consists of two major divisions: Plant and Soil Science and General Agriculture.

The Departmental programs in undergraduate and graduate instruction, research, and extension have a three-fold mission: to improve agricultural productivity; to manage wisely the soil resources; and to maintain environmental quality.

The California CCA program is a voluntary certification program for individuals who provide advice to growers on crop management and inputs. Certified Crop Advisers meet the standards set by the American Society of Agronomy including passing rigorous examinations, maintaining continuing education and subscribing to a code of ethics.

The Certified Crop Adviser Program (CCA) is one of the professional certification programs offered by the American Society of Agronomy (ASA). It is a voluntary program providing a base level of standard through testing, and raising that standard through continuing education. The program is administered within the State of Tennessee by the Tennessee Agricultural Production Association.
