The Agroecological Institute was founded as a scientific institution for applied research and development in agriculture, ecology and environment on the initiative of its supporting association having the same name. It is affiliated to the Agricultural Faculty of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg and has branches in Halle, Bad Lauchstadt and Bernburg.

FCDC Mission Statement: The development of cereal crops through breeding, genetic, physiological and agronomic research with emphasis on high quality feed, fodder, and food crops, for the benefit of a viable and sustainable agri-food industry.

The Research Center is used by professional and post-doctoral staff, and graduate and undergraduate students engaged in basic and applied research in the areas of: grain quality, stored product protection, alternative pest control, grain drying and storage, molds and mycotoxins, value-added grains and processing, insect behavior and control, worker protection and safety.

The ACRE (991 acre farm facility) is utilized by 53 researchers from 8 departments, conducting approximately 180 research projects. This researchers conduct studies ranging from basic to applied research: plant breeding and genetics, crop production and soil tillage management, plant physiology, soil fertility, weed control, disease and insect resistance and control.

Centre's mission is to provide economic and technical education and to promote the spirit of international co-operation between supervisors in the area of agriculture in the Mediterranean countries. Currently, the Centre numbers thirteen member countries: Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey.

Mission of FCRDI - Be the national centre for achieving economic revitalization of the farmers in the field crops sector and to assure national; food security through generation, development and dissemination of technology necessary for priority field crops to cater to sustainable and comparative field crops production.

AgRIC is an outreach service, which provides research-based, comprehensive, and reliable information on California agronomic crops to the general public, industry, and governmental and private agencies. The Center is housed in the Department of Agronomy and Range Science at University of California, Davis.

The Crop Development Centre is a field crop research organization which seeks to increase the diversification of crops and their products for the farmers and agriculture industry of Saskatchewan by improving existing crops, creating new uses for traditional crops and introducing new crops.

The National Institute for Agronomic Research was set up in 1946 and has the mission to: guarantee consumers high-quality food; ensure that agricultural and agro-food companies are competitive; contribute to integrated land development and sustainable management of natural resources.
