Istituto Nazionale di Apicoltura, which enjoys the backing of the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, is a scientific organization with an authoritative role in the regulation of the Italian beekeeping sector. In fact, it conducts research and experimentation in apiculture and offers services in the fields of training, information, analytical control of products and diagnosis of disease.

FIBKA - The Federation of Irish Beekeeping Associations is the umbrella organisation for the 48 County Beekeeping Associations in the Irish Republic. It publishes a monthly journal and organises the Annual summer course at Gormanston College. The Irish National Honey Show is also held during the summer course.

CHC is the vital link between beekeeper associations, industry and government. Centre Apicole de Recherche et d'Information (C.A.R.I.). CARI est une association belge sans but lucratif (statut proche des associations de 1901 en France). Ce centre apicole de recherche et d'information a ete cree en juin 1983 par une equipe de chercheurs du laboratoire d'ecologie de l'universite catholique de Louvain. Son objectif est la promotion et le developpement de l'apiculture.

The philosophy of Bees for Development is to assist people living in poor and remote areas of the world, and to raise awareness about the value of beekeeping for poverty alleviation, as well as the role of bees for the maintenance of biodiversity.

The National Honey Board, through its staff in Longmont, Colorado, conducts research, advertising and promotion programs to help maintain and expand domestic and foreign markets for honey. The Board's work, funded by an assessment of one cent per pound on domestic and imported honey, is designed to lift the awareness and use of honey by consumers, the foodservice industry and food manufacturers.
