Century Foundation was established on 28'th February, 1996 in Bangalore. It is a non-governmental and Non-Profit organization working for Sustainable Natural Resource management and Rural development. Century Foundation does not have a prescribed membership but entirely depends upon donor organizations, charitable trusts and Philanthropists for financial support to cater to the needs of its developmental Programmes.

Modern Ukraine is among the world's top -10 producers of honey and other products of beekeeping. 500 thousand beekeepers collect up to 70 thousand tons of honey annually. Acarine Mite, Acarapis Woodii (Tracheal Mite). Acarine mites are parasites that invade the trachea of bees, but they are not much of a nuisance to beekeepers in the UK at this moment. In many texts the acarine mite is considered the causal agent of "Isle of Wight Disease".

Transmission of Kashmir bee virus by the ectoparasitic mite Varroa destructor. The ability of the parasitic mite Varroa destructor to transmit Kashmir bee virus (KBV) to the Western honey bee (Apis mellifera) was investigated by exposing pupae from a KBV-negative colony to varying numbers of adult female mites from KBV-positive colonies.

Australian honey has a reputation in the world market as being a premuim quality product. Seventy to eighty per cent of our honey is produced from native flora, especially eucalyptus. Australia produces about 31,000 tonnes of honey per year, with an estimated gross value of production of about $49 million.
