The College of Life Sciences and Agriculture brings together the traditional undergraduate and graduate programs in Life Sciences and Natural Resources with the two year programs of the Thompson School of Applied Sciences and the research work of the UNH Agricultural Expriment Station.

The Department of Microbiology offers a broad spectrum of classes in the field of Microbiology. The list of courses available varies from year to year.

The interdepartmental Program in Biology is designed to provide a strong and a broad background in biological sciences to students interested in education in the life sciences. The Biology Program integrates theoretical and practical courses in different aspects of the biology of animals, microbes and plants.

The Thompson School offers Associate Degree programs in Animal Science, Business Management, Civil Technology, Community Service and Leadership, Restaurant Management, Forest Technology, Nutrition, and Horticultural Technology. Additionally, each program offers specialization within its area of study.

Plant Biology Specialization: agronomy, anatomy, cell and molecular biology, ecology, entomology, freshwater and marine biology, genetics, horticulture, mycology and pathology, phycology, physiology, systematics.

The Department of Animal & Nutritional Sciences at UNH offers two distinct undergraduate programs both leading to the bachelors of science degree: Animal Sciences and Nutritional Sciences.

Our studies focus on sustainable use of our cultural and natural resources, with specialties in Public Lands, Fisheries, Wildlife, Agriculture, Forestry, Community Planning, Air Quality and Solid Waste Management. Undergraduate programs are Environmental and Resource Economics, Community Development, and Tourism Planning & Development. Graduate programs include Resource Economics, and Resource Administration and Management.

The Department of Zoology has a primary responsibility for undergraduate and graduate instruction in fundamental aspects of animal biology, including the principles of form, function, and development, and diversity produced by animal evolution.
