At Fort Valley State University, the College of Agriculture, Home Economics, and Allied Programs provides solid career foundations through four departments: Agricultural Instruction, Electronic Engineering Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Veterinary Science at the undergraduate level. The College provides further career enhancement through a graduate program offering the Master of Science.

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) at the University of Georgia is one of the oldest and among the best U.S. colleges of agriculture. In its classrooms, its Agricultural Experiment Stations and its statewide network of Cooperative Extension offices, the faculty and staff of the CAES are dedicated to discovering, teaching and delivering the science required for healthy living to flourish in Georgia. The college has three campuses (northeast of Atlanta in Athens, almost half way between Atlanta and Macon in Griffin, and at the geographic center of South Georgia in Tifton), seven research and education centers, six 4-H centers, and county extension offices throughout the state which support the college in achieving its mission and vision.
