The department offers five majors and one minor for students interested in crop science, soil science, and agricultural meteorology. Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees are offered as well as a web-based, distance learning master's degree program.

The Economics department at Iowa State University delivers quality education, applied and theoretical research, and outreach services relevant to business, industry, agriculture, finance, and several other fields of inquiry and employment.

Provides biological and agricultural engineering teaching, research and extension programs in food and fiber production, processing and distribution systems which address environmental, quality and safety issues, and are responsive to the needs of Kansans.
