Situated in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area at Yanco, Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture provides a wide range of training courses for the Agricultural and Food and Fibre Industries. The College was established in 1963. It is run by NSW Agriculture (the New South Wales Department of Agriculture).

The Animal Science Web Server is host to a number of Web sites at the University of of New England, New South Wales. This include The Livestock Industries Institute.

At the Faculty of Agriculture we combine the two disciplines to offer a range applied science/economics degrees in the areas of production, processing and marketing of agricultural products, food systems, management and conservation. Through a mix of experience and theoretical knowledge, we develop analytical thinking, inquisitiveness, values and applied economics skills in our graduates. We emphasise analytical, quantitative, computing and communication skills.

The School of Environment and Agriculture is located at Hawkesbury Campus of the University of Western Sydney. With a history that strongly associates the University with communities, both locally and across Australia, the main focus of the School is in the academic area of environmental management for sustainability. The School has several key areas that focus teaching and research, and these can be broadly categorised as: Agriculture, Environmental Health/Environmental Management, Tourism.

The AIAST Northern Territory Branch covers the whole area of the Territory. The Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology is committed to promoting the advancement of Australian Agriculture through the application of scientific, technological, socio-economic, business, management and marketing. The AIAST achieves its mission by undertaking activities and providing products and services in five major areas – opportunities, networks, representation, knowledge and recognition.

Biological Sciences is a Department within Macquarie University located at the eastern end of the campus in North Ryde. It is a teaching and research department with over 650 undergraduate and 70 postgraduate students enrolled and a teaching staff of about 25.

The campus Orange campus of The University of Sydney is characterised by its country location, outstanding facilities and outgoing students. Apart from its picturesque nature, the Campus Farm is home to valuable research and teaching resources for students. There is an extensive vineyard from which the Campus produces the award winning Templer's Mill wines. Commercial sheep, cattle herds and Thoroughbred/Warmblood horse studs are maintained on the property.
