The School of Environment and Agriculture is located at Hawkesbury Campus of the University of Western Sydney. With a history that strongly associates the University with communities, both locally and across Australia, the main focus of the School is in the academic area of environmental management for sustainability. The School has several key areas that focus teaching and research, and these can be broadly categorised as: Agriculture, Environmental Health/Environmental Management, Tourism.

The Escuela de Educacion Agropecuaria (Agricultural Education School) was inaugurated in May, 1948 as “Fundacion Mecanico Agricola Irene Martinez de Hoz de Campos”, and it is an institution dedicated to the technical education and formation of young students between 12 and 18 years old.

The AIAST Northern Territory Branch covers the whole area of the Territory. The Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology is committed to promoting the advancement of Australian Agriculture through the application of scientific, technological, socio-economic, business, management and marketing. The AIAST achieves its mission by undertaking activities and providing products and services in five major areas – opportunities, networks, representation, knowledge and recognition.

Biological Sciences is a Department within Macquarie University located at the eastern end of the campus in North Ryde. It is a teaching and research department with over 650 undergraduate and 70 postgraduate students enrolled and a teaching staff of about 25.

The campus Orange campus of The University of Sydney is characterised by its country location, outstanding facilities and outgoing students. Apart from its picturesque nature, the Campus Farm is home to valuable research and teaching resources for students. There is an extensive vineyard from which the Campus produces the award winning Templer's Mill wines. Commercial sheep, cattle herds and Thoroughbred/Warmblood horse studs are maintained on the property.

The School education goals and philosophy focus on the training of undergraduate students as scientists with a holistic view of rural and agricultural systems while also providing individual postgraduates with training in specific discipline areas of rural science.

The Faculty of Science & Agriculture aims to set new standards in tertiary education at undergraduate and postgraduate level through the implementation of innovative new courses. Charles Sturt University's Faculty of Science & Agriculture is highly regarded, both nationally and internationally.

On 1 July 2005, Queensland's four agricultural colleges merged to form a new force in agricultural and rural training - the Australian Agricultural College Corporation. The new college combines more than 130 years' experience in agricultural education and training in a range of specialisations, across five campuses located in a range of different geographic and climatic regions.

C B Alexander Agricultural College, Tocal is a part of the New South Wales Department of Agriculture, Australia. The college provides a range of courses for school leavers to work on and manage farms, and is a national leader in distance education for landholders.

Situated in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area at Yanco, Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture provides a wide range of training courses for the Agricultural and Food and Fibre Industries. The College was established in 1963. It is run by NSW Agriculture (the New South Wales Department of Agriculture).
