4The long-standing mission of the Department of Horticultural Science is to discover, interpret and transfer knowledge for the purpose of improving the productivity, value and use of horticultural crops; contributing to a quality environment; and educating students.

The Departmental programs in undergraduate and graduate instruction, research, and extension have a three-fold mission: to improve agricultural productivity; to manage wisely the soil resources; and to maintain environmental quality.

Applied Economics and Management (AEM) is a large and diverse department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Our 40 tenured faculty members and senior academic staff are internationally known scholars with training in the fields of applied economics and business. The AEM community also includes about 750 undergraduates, 65 graduate students, and 60 members of the professional and support staff.

The Department of Plant Pathology offers programs leading to B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees as well as opportunities in post-doctoral research. We carry out both basic and applied research on all major pathogen groups, and much of this research is tied to one or more of the many commodities in Michigan.

The Social Sciences Unit is the hub for agricultural programs and departments in economics, education, journalism, community development and rural sociology.

The Department of Animal & Nutritional Sciences at UNH offers two distinct undergraduate programs both leading to the bachelors of science degree: Animal Sciences and Nutritional Sciences.

Our studies focus on sustainable use of our cultural and natural resources, with specialties in Public Lands, Fisheries, Wildlife, Agriculture, Forestry, Community Planning, Air Quality and Solid Waste Management. Undergraduate programs are Environmental and Resource Economics, Community Development, and Tourism Planning & Development. Graduate programs include Resource Economics, and Resource Administration and Management.
